TECHNICAL INFORMATION:

Description:

Our 6X Powdered Sugar, a food grade product, is made by grinding granulated sugar mixed with modified starch to the desired grain size. The modified starch prevents caking and increases shelf life. This powdered sugar is perfect for a wide range of bakery and confectionery products. It creates relatively smooth texture and easy-to-spread properties for icings.

Typical Uses:

Icing and dusting; candies and pharmaceuticals.

This food grade product is manufactured in accordance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices and complies with the Federal Food Drug and Cosmetic Act and all other FDA regulations as well as any applicable state statutes and regulations.
Ingredient handling and use requirements is comply with all national and local regulations, USC documented Health and Safety standards, and the requirements as stated on the Material Safety Data Sheet.


Genetically Modified Origin (GMO) in Refined Sugars:

"United Sugar Company refines raw cane sugar purchased from suppliers who declare and maintain that their raw sugar is extracted only from cane of non-genetically modified origin.
The refined sugar so manufactured is free of any raw materials containing or derived from genetically modified organisms."


Pesticide Residues:

"The product meets SASO standard for Pesticide residues".


Storage:

  • It shall be handled and stored according to Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • It shall prevented from exposure to direct sunlight or ultraviolet light.
  • It shall be stored at 25 °C max.
  • The shelf life under the above conditions is 24 months from the date of manufacture.

Spillage:

All sucrose product spills present effluent management problems because of microbiological degradation. Spills should be contained and recovered by mechanical means. Any such products should be considered to be "NOT FOOD GRADE".

  • Food standards apply to the design and materials of construction of any plant and handling equipment.
    Corrosion-resistant or stainless steel is preferred. Particular attention should be paid to the microbiological, environmental and effluent consequences of wet-cleaning process lines and product handling areas.
